Key West

Next it was time to fly to Key West

This is a photo taken at the end of a pier, it's very sunny and quite hot.
It's the wet season however, so it also rains very heavily once a day for about 20-30 minutes. This doesn't cool things down any.
Key West is famous for a dessert called Key Lime Pie.
There are also a lot of people out at night.
Time to go to New Orleans. They have a very small airport so we had to walk out to the plane across the runway.

New York

From Rockland I flew back to Boston and then to New York.
The flight to Boston was on a very small plane. That's the pilot up the front, and I was sitting in the back row of passengers.
New York has a place called Times Square. It is famous for having a lot of giant TVs and advertising.
It also has a giant park, called central park.
You could see the park from my hotel window.
I went and saw a play where everyone in the audience wore a spooky mask. They let us keep the masks.
I had a brief look at their museum, but I had to leave shortly after I got there because it was closing time.
 I ate a pizza...
...and saw lots of tall, tall buildings.

Rockland

From Boston I was supposed to catch the train to Rockland, but the train tracks were being repaired.
Instead I had to catch a bus.
Rockland is a small fishing town in the State of Maine.
Every year they have a lobster festival. It's a bit like their version of the Geelong show, or the Melbourne Show. It's smaller but they still have rides and stands selling food.
They sell lobsters too. This is a tray of lobsters that I had for lunch.
The hotel I stayed in had a breakfast bar where you could go up and choose what you wanted to have.
They had a waffle maker, so I made myself some waffles. Delicious.
This is a giant fiberglass lobster that is used as part of a parade for the festival.
This is a view of the ocean from near the hotel.
I saw a lot of bumblebees.
After I was finished at the lobster festival, it was time to fly to New York, only this time I was flying ion a very small plane.
